In this issue, we have detailed the successful sale of a cell phone distributor in bankruptcy, as well as a new engagement for an events planning business in Arizona. ACM SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES SALE OF CELL PHONE DISTRIBUTION COMPANY
The firm had been retained by debtor’s bankruptcy counsel to sell the assets of reconfigured cell phones for a foreign market. Our professionals visited the debtor’s place of business in Michigan, performed a physical count and inspection, and then began a marketing process for the ultimate sale of the phones.
After a short period of time, ACM had several interested parties and settled on a buyer after a short live-auction period. Despite these efforts, the parties reached agreement whereby the phones were subsequently sold to the largest creditor. Our efforts and pricing on the sale led to the most desired outcome for all parties. “This is the seventh deal we have done on behalf of the courts, debtors or creditors where we have stepped in and created a quick market for the sale of assets – whether the assets are a mulch factory, circuit board assembler or cell phones configured for the Middle East,” said Jim Martin of ACM Capital Partners.
ACM ENGAGED BY EVENTS COMPANY TO RESTRUCTURE ITS DEBT
The firm announced a new engagement to assist an events company based in Arizona with restructuring its debt and raising additional debt for its capital expansion. This assignment is a very common one for the firm as we step in, assess the client’s financing needs, review and test their financials and projections and lead a financing process.
“We have refinanced over $1.2 billion in debt since 2008, and we have reached all areas of the country in the process” said Martin. “Our track record includes financing in the lower and middle markets stretching across myriad of industries and disciplines.”
