ACM TOP 10 IN MIAMI ON INC’S 5000 FASTEST GROWING COMPANIES

Miami might not be the first place you think of when you hear the word entrepreneurship–particularly on Christmas Eve–but this year’s Inc. 5000 list will have you dreaming of palm trees in no time.

With 122 companies on the 2014 Inc. 5000, Miami has proven itself as a popular destination for business, as well as fun in the sun. Maybe it’s the growing ecosystem of incubators and co-working spaces, or maybe its the increase in younger talent moving to the area. Whatever it is, Miami is a city to watch.

This year’s Inc. 5000 tracks private company performance, by way of their revenue growth between fiscal years 2010 and 2013. Below, see which companies are whipping up the fastest-growing sales in Miami:

10. ACM Capital Partners

Founded in 2009, ACM Capital Partners offers financial advisory services specializing in refinancing and restructuring debt to maximize a company’s value during a period of transition such as bankruptcy, turnaround, or receivership. Under CEO James Martin, the company returns to the Inc. 5000 for the second time. This year, ACM ranks number 2,218, having grown its revenue 177 percent to $3.3 million in 2013, up from $1.8 million in 2010. In the same three year period the company increased its staff to 25 employees from just two in 2010.

9. Gotham Cigars

This 10-year-old company has made it to the Inc. 5000 list six times–a head turning performance for sure. This year, the retailer snagged number 2,053, having grown its revenue 196 percent to $5.2 million in 2013 from $1.8 million in 2010. Under CEO Manny Balani, Gotham Cigars sells cigars and cigar accessories online directly to consumers around the country.

8. Internet Media Services

This marketing and media company specializes in Latin American markets whose expertise includes regional consulting, business infrastructure support, and performance marketing services. With CEO Gaston Taratuta at the helm, IMS can list brands such as Twitter, Netflix and Spotify as commercial partners, as well as 150 agencies across Latin America. Founded in 2005, the company has grown its revenue 400 percent to $104.3 million in 2013 from $20.8 million in 2010–giving it the number 1,110 spot on the Inc. 5000. In the same period it also grew its staff to 204 employees from 49.

7. EveryMundo

Founded in 2006, this Miami company provides digital marketing and software consulting services to clients in global industries such as travel and hospitality, retail, and other direct response niches. EveryMundo made it to number 309 on this year’s Inc. 5000, having increased its revenue 1,495 percent to $2.5 million in 2013 from $154,000 in 2010. Under CEO Anton Diego, the company employed 24 people as of 2013, up from just two in 2010.

6. VSI Nearshore Outsourcing

This IT services company provides outsourced services to North American businesses from facilities in Colombia. Its expertise includes software development, call center services, and mortgage processing support. Founded in 2006, VSI Nearshore Outsourcing has snagged number 295 on this year’s Inc. 5000. With CEO Esteban Reyes leading the way, the company has grown its revenue 1,551 percent to $3.2 million in 2013 from $194,000 in 2010. Over the period, VSI’s staff jumped to 157 employees from 55.

5. Cinium Financial Services

This seven-year-old organization provides insurance and financial-related products to the middle market. Cinium’s subsidiaries include a property/casualty insurance company, a licensed insurance agency, and a company that provides financing and working capital to small businesses. Cinium takes the 265th spot on the Inc. 5000, having increased its revenue 1,742 percent to $4.4 million in 2013 from $241,000 in 2010. CEO Jeff Camp has helped to ensure that Cinium made to the list for the third time.

4. 3A/WorldWide

Founded in 2009, this advertising company provides digital media, PR, and media placement services. Under the leadership of CEO Edward De Valle, 3A/WorldWide has made it to number 175 on this year’s Inc. 5000, having grown its revenue 2,402 percent to $57.6 million in 2013 from $2.3 million in 2010. The company also increased its staff to 270 employees in 2013 from 15 in 2010.

3. CareCloud

This cloud-based, health-care provider–led by CEO Albert Santalo–provides cloud-based practice management, electronic health record, and medical billing software and services for medical groups. It was founded five years ago and has increased its revenue 2,940 percent to $10.5 million in 2013 from $344,000 in 2010. During that same time period it also grew its staff to 262 employees from 69. It therefore makes complete sense that CareCloud comes in at number 127 on the Inc. 5000.

2. SmackTom.com

Under the leadership of Neha Gajwani, SmackTom.com snags the number 125 spot on this year’s Inc. 5000. The e-commerce retailer, which was founded in 2009, sells accessories for computers, gaming devices, smartphones, and tablets. It seems to be doing pretty well too–having grown its revenue 2,964 percent to $3.1 million in 2013 from $102,000 in 2010. It also created 35 additional jobs in those three years.

1. Showroom Logic

The fastest-growing company in Miami is Showroom Logic. Founded in 2009, Showroom offers proprietary, automated software tools and custom advertising programs to facilitate automotive dealers’ Internet marketing. Under CEO Neal Gann, the company has grown its staff to 90 employees in 2013 from just four in 2010. Also over the period, Showroom boosted its revenue 8,449 percent to $13.4 million in 2013 from $157,000 in 2010–making it the 26th fastest-growing company on the Inc. 5000.
